For some listeners well acquainted with Chopin you might be able to spot a fragment from his “Barcarolle”. I used this fragment as a starting point to create the piece.
I take this modified fragment and proceed to touch on all 12 major keys. The trick was to do so without making it seem like a gimmick or device and to never interfere with the melodic flow. Even when using such a “device” the goal is always to remain musical and lyrical. In the end, the piece is just a naturally flowing piece of music that just so happens to touch on many tonalities.
All in less than two minutes.
