I first came across the term “Pavane” through my interest in Maurice Ravel. Both Ravel and his teacher Gabriel Faure wrote pieces based on this older form. In general, my preference for so-called “classical” music is that music which emanates from France and Russia.
The definition of “Pavane” is a “16th and 17th century stately dance in duple meter.”
I have always enjoyed overdubbing guitars to build a track. I have been doing that since at age twelve when my mom first bought a cheap reel-to-reel tape deck that could record “sound on sound.”
