Ever since I was 12-years-old, Edgar Allan Poe was a favorite writer. I was so smitten at that age that I had my mother make a black cape for me (for some reason I thought Poe wore a cape) and I would fill a notebook with some pretty bad gothic graveyard poetry. My mother was amused but my father thought I had a couple of “loose screws.”
Still, October puts me in mind of Mr. Poe. This song is a small tribute I wrote.
Be safe. Be careful.
