I try to write something everyday. This practice is sort of like a meditation.
This song came about very spontaneously about one year ago. The “spontaneous” songs are always the best it seems to me. The longtime and persistent Antonio Carlos Jobim/Claus Ogerman musical influence pops up here again. And the visual image (from the title) is always a good guide for harmony, melody and mood.
Al Asmus (alto flute and bass clarinet) is an old friend and has played on many of my records. His subtle, sympathetic and solid presence is always a definite plus.(Headphones are almost essential on this one.)
