This song first appeared on my 1989 album, “The Peter Pan Principle.” That disc is a pretty rare find these days, though I see it on eBay on occasion (and still have 50 or 60 copies in my basement).
I was going through a “singer-songwriter” phase back then (1989). Though my path followed a quite different angle after this period, I still circle back to it on occasion.
I thought this song deserved resurrection, tweaking and a new recording. It’s obviously a “story-song” in the “Americana” vein. Having grown up in small-town America, this is the kind of song I can connect with.
At any rate, I just felt like doing this music right now during the summer of 2022. This is a “lyric” video so you can follow the words.
