I have not recorded many “cover” songs. The vast majority of songs I have recorded are original compositions. This is a duet with Matt Senjem.
I have been playing with Matt for over 25 years and considering that he isn’t 50 years old yet that’s a big part of his life. (We do have many gigs booked together this year in various group formats.)
I have never played with anyone as much as I have Matt. It must be well over a thousand gigs so far. (I’d say I love him like a brother but he’s just young enough to be my son.)
As Shelby Foote would say, “we hook atoms” when we play. So I’m glad some documents of what we sound like in a spontaneous duet situation exist.
