Some days (depends on what day you ask me) I would say this is one of the most perfectly realized non-vocal recordings I have ever made. What I mean by that is that the song, arrangement, players and production all convene perfectly.

In retrospect, as I look at the themes I keep coming back to in songs it becomes clear that I must be, at heart at least, an optimist. Hope and faith are often the themes lurking behind my lyrics and song titles. This surprises me a little because I wouldn’t say it is an obvious trait but I’m happy to promote that message.

I have always believed that our human mission should be to leave this “quaint old vale of tears” better than we found it.

(There is also a vocal version of this song and I include those lyrics below to give a better idea of the concept behind the tune. The vocal version is also available on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora etc. )

“Someday Maybe”

Though it all seems
Like hopeless dreams
Keep trying
Someday Maybe

Just don’t lose heart|
That’s the hard part
Keep dreaming
Someday Maybe

Keep shining through
All you can do
Is all you can do

When life hurts you
And faith deserts you
Keep wishing
Someday Maybe

Be kind.

Love,
Reyn
